Summer Heats Barista Championships

Restaurant Associates held the summer heats of our barista championships this week at Hej Roastery in London. This bi-annual competition brings our talented baristas from across our southern and London cafes together to compete for the coffee crowns in two categories: elite and championship.

The winner of the championship competition was Amadeo Morrone from WT and the runner up was João Claudio from IWM London. Both competitors went head to head in the final coffee slam dunk creating beautifully crafted latte art to the highest standards with Amadeo narrowly winning.

The winner of the elite competition was Szilárd Gacsó with runners up Stephanie Jane Silva Rodrigues and Tomas Silva coming a close second. The trainers competed in a series of expert challenges designed to test all aspects of crafting great coffee.
