Dining and Receptions

The Refectory makes a stunning venue for private events, whether for corporate hospitality, private dinners, presentations and receptions. Take in the spectacular view of the spire (at 404 ft the tallest in Britain) soaring high above you through the glass roof of this attractive modern restaurant. Amazing in daylight, stunning when floodlit.

The Chapter House with its medieval stone carvings of stories from the Old Testament and now home to the best preserved, 1215 edition of Magna Carta, this magnificent vaulted building is perfect for pre-dinner drinks. The maximum seating capacity for seated dinners is 90, although the cloisters can be hired for larger events. The Chapter House Lawn is available to hire for marquees and other larger events up to 1000.

Enjoy the warmer months at the medieval Cloisters (the largest in England), it provides an interesting almost open-air setting for entertaining on Summer’s evening.
